RESORT CONCEPTS & DRAWINGS
San Pedro on Ambergris Caye has long been the main destination for people diving Belize. It is only 20 miles from the mainland and the barrier reef is only ½ mile off shore.
Divers love San Pedro because it has something for everyone, shopping, restaurants, pub type bars and small island discos along with world class diving. The diving on the barrier reef just in front of the island is some of the best spur and grove diving in the world. However most divers that come to Belize want a combination of San Pedro and the famous Blue Hole Dive along with a taste of the awesome wall diving at the atolls. Belize Tradewinds "Blue Hole Resort" will be designed to accommodate overnight divers from San Pedro and mainland Belize. Overnight boats won't have to pack two days of food, camping gear, and enough tanks for two days of diving. Divers can be dropped off at the resort in the afternoon for a swim in our fresh water pool, relax at the bar, have a sit down dinner, a shower, and sleep in air conditioned comfort. Tanks will be refilled overnight and after a great breakfast; the divers are back out for their second day of fantastic diving.
The Combo Trip
Belize Tradewinds "Blue Hole Resort" will be set up to work in combination with the Tradewinds Paradise Villas or any other resort in Belize to offer three or four-day combination with trips. Accommodations will be in private one and two bedroom cabanas on the beach, over looking the Aquarium and other famous dive sites just one half mile off the North West shore of Long Caye.
One Week All-Inclusive
Of course, the mainstay of the resort will be the one week all inclusive fishing, diving, or combination trip. It will include three tanks a day with a one-day trip to Turneffe Atoll to dive the famous elbow and an optional trip to Glovers Reef Atoll. Our location makes it very convenient to dive all three atolls in one week.
Float Plane Service
A real possibility exists for an island floatplane service. This would allow us to conform more closely to the busy schedules of some guests. Twice weekly boat pick up will be scheduled on Thursdays and Sundays. Chartered float service could give clients more choices. The plane would shorten the trip to twenty minutes and afford an opportunity for a photo shoot of the Blue Hole and picturesque Half Moon Caye.
